One of the most humble and grounded heads to ever step behind the booth, Rushton's 'to the point' approach has been ensuring Byron Bay clubbers get a solid night out ever since. Unsure how to accurately express what we mean in a traditional bio format, here is Rushton's own summary of his career as if you were actually asking him in person:
I started playing in the summer of 2004 after the party bug reared its ugly head. From there, Webber and I proceeded to set up house parties at some poor fools’ house every weekend for the next two years straight – (it felt like two years straight but I’m sure there was a weekend off here and there). In October 2006, I caught a break and scored a gig at Byron Bay’s infamous LaLaLand.
I have also had the pleasure of playing at Elsewhere & Ruby Tramp and rocked Sunkissed 08, Stereosonic 08 and Summafielddayze 09.
Musically I like a vast array of genre’s from disco to house, electro to techno. To be more specific, influential artists included A-Trak, Mylo, Fred Falke, Lifelike, Boyz Noize, Proxy, Daft Punk, Eric Prydz and Bass Kleph.
I like to keep my songs short, as well as my mixing and I’m not afraid of throwing in my own dodgy bootlegs.
See you at the Disco.
